WELCOME
Abouzeid Law is located in Carmel, California. Mahmoud Abouzeid Jr.
has been working as a trial lawyer for more than 35 years. He has
had the privilege of vindicating the rights of more than a thousand
clients and has tried and settled many cases with damages in excess
of $1 million. He believes that the courts are the last bastion of
democratic power in the United States. The courts are still a place
where an ordinary citizen can have a fair opportunity to vindicate
her or his rights against the most powerful corporations and
individuals on earth. It is no wonder that the ability of
individuals to use the courts and to sue to vindicate their rights
is under constant attack. It’s the only place left where an ordinary
person can get justice and where a citizen has any meaningful power
and influence.
Mr. Abouzeid offers
legal consultation
in civil litigation matters, including:
Business Disputes,
Professional Negligence,
Bad
Faith Insurance,
Product Liability - Personal Injury &
Wrongful Death,
Construction Law,
Family Law and Dissolution of Marriage,
Estate Planning - Wills & Trusts,
International Business Consulting and a
Nationwide Referral Service.
Mr. Abouzeid’s other area of interest is helping people
mediate their differences as opposed to
spending years and fortunes winding their way through the court
system. While he still accepts occasional cases, he believes that
his experience at this stage of his career is best utilized serving
as a provider of
second opinions
to people who are already represented in legal disputes, much as it
is wise to seek second opinions when you need to make significant
medical choices. In essence, he offers to be your advocate with your
lawyer, providing you with an extra level of comfort knowing that
your interests are being served well.
Join him to explore developments in the law and to learn about your
rights. What happens if someone takes something from you that he
shouldn’t have a right to take, like your house? What rights do you
have if your doctor “inadvertently” takes out the wrong organ or
seriously damages it during an operation, or if a trucking company
fails to adequately maintain the brakes on its trucks and one of
them runs over and kills your child? In a world without legal
recourse, not only will those types of acts go unredressed, they will
multiply because there will be little incentive for companies to
incur the costs necessary to avoid them.
Mr. Abouzeid looks
forward to your questions and comments
and to sharing
his experiences with you. |
